About

Laura Horner is a creative leader recognized for her versatility and passion for creating compelling designs. She bring years of expertise designing and developing impactful collections for emerging startups and established apparel brands. Born and raised in North Carolina, she began experimenting with fashion and style at a young age before graduating with Honors from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Apparel Design. Fresh from college she started her career as a designer for Urban Outfitters, quickly honing her collaborative skills.  Laura then moved to Marc by Marc Jacobs in New York where she notably spent seven years designing with the RTW Women's collection.  Following this, she held Design Director positions at Juicy Couture in Los Angeles and Draper James in Nashville.  Her experience spans multiple categories (wovens, denim, knits), paired with extensive knowledge of washes, dyes, patterns, trims, and fabric development. As a leader, she’s guided teams through all stages of the design process to create top-selling collections that are market relevant and on-brand. She places high value on building cross-functional relationships to ensure team members are aligned on creative, technical, and brand/business goals. As a Design Consultant, she remains influenced and inspired by color and textiles and enjoys fine tuning a collection from concept to creation.  Each project is driven by the client's needs and she provides inspiration, concepts, and resources to fulfill their vision.
